This policy explains what information the Norware Labs games collect, why, and what you can do about it. It covers our games for iPhone and Android (Number Target, Typing Test, Guess the Price, Geode Cracker, Magnet Fishing, Fish Tank Pet, Vending Machine Tycoon, Intelligence Agency and Internet Provider Tycoon) and this website. "We" and "us" mean Norware Labs.
The short version
- There are no accounts. We never ask for your name, email address or phone number.
- Your progress and settings are saved on your phone, not with us.
- The games send us anonymous gameplay events, like a finished round or a watched ad, so we can see what works and fix what doesn't.
- Ads come from Google AdMob. Google may use your device's advertising identifier to show and measure ads. On iPhone, only if you allow it.
- We don't sell your personal information.
What stays on your phone
Your progress, collections, streaks and settings, and a record of what you've bought, are stored on your phone. We can't see them. Deleting a game deletes them.
Gameplay analytics
The games send a small set of events to our analytics service, PostHog:
- when a game is opened and closed, and how long it was open
- when you finish a round, with details such as your score or what you found
- when an ad is shown, and whether an ad you chose to watch played to the end
- when you share a result or buy something (which item, never your payment details)
- technical details when the game hits an error, so we can fix it
Each event carries a random ID that the game creates the first time it opens. That ID isn't linked to your name, email address, phone number or advertising identifier, and deleting the game deletes it. Like any service on the internet, PostHog receives your device's IP address when events arrive, which can show roughly where you are, such as your country. We use these events only to understand and improve the games.
Ads
The games are free and show ads from Google AdMob: ads that give you a reward, which play only when you tap them, and ads between rounds, which a one-time purchase removes. There are no banner ads.
To show, limit and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect or receive information from your device, including its advertising identifier, IP address, device model and operating system, and how you interact with ads. Google may use this information to show ads that match your interests. You're in control of that:
- iPhone: the game asks your permission before ads can use your device's advertising identifier. You can change your answer any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Android: you can delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your phone's settings under Google > Ads (on some phones, Privacy > Ads).
- European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland: personalized ads are shown only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Google's own policy explains how it uses this information: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Purchases
Purchases are handled by the App Store or Google Play. We never see your card or payment details; we only learn which item was bought so the game can unlock it. To get a purchase back on a new phone, use Restore purchase in the game's Settings.
Reminders
If you allow notifications, a game can remind you when something is waiting, such as a streak about to end or a rock that has finished curing. Reminders are scheduled on your phone itself; we don't run a server that sends them. You can switch them off in the game's Settings or in your phone's notification settings.
Sharing
The Share button opens your phone's share sheet. You choose what to share and where. We only record that a share happened.
What we don't collect
The games don't ask for your contacts, photos, camera, microphone or precise location. There are no chats and no way to contact other players.
Children
Our games are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
This website
norwarelabs.com uses no cookies, analytics or tracking. Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes standard server logs, such as IP addresses and browser types, to deliver the site and keep it secure.
If you email us
We use your email address and message only to reply to you and to fix what you've reported, and we delete them once they're no longer needed.
How long we keep information
Everything stored on your phone is deleted when you delete the game. We keep gameplay events only as long as they help us improve the games. Because they're tied to a random ID rather than to you, we usually can't tell which events are yours, but if you'd like us to try to find and delete them, email us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Email us to use any of these rights.
If you're in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland: we use gameplay events because we have a legitimate interest in running and improving the games, and personalized ads rely on your consent.
We don't sell personal information for money. Some US state laws treat personalized advertising as "sharing" personal information; you can opt out of it with the ad settings described above.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
